Nuritas founder among honourees at the 2022 Diversity in Tech Awards

Nora Khaldi of Nuritas won the Grace Hopper Award for her contributions to the globe of STEM.

A host of people today and organisations have been honoured at this year’s Variety in Tech Awards.

Among the honourees have been Nuritas founder and CEO Nora Khaldi, the non-financial gain Open Doors Initiative, as well as even larger businesses these types of as Cognizant and Oracle.

The ceremony took put this evening (21 September) at Dublin’s RDS Concert Hall, shining a light-weight on individuals and organisations striving to make more diverse and inclusive workplaces.

Khaldi scooped the Grace Hopper Award for her achievements as founder of Dublin-centered biotech firm Nuritas. Named soon after the revolutionary laptop scientist, the award recognises a female doing work in STEM who has designed exceptional contributions to the sector.

Past year’s winner of the Grace Hopper Award was Sri-Lankan born Irish personal computer scientist Sheree Atcheson.

Khaldi established Nuritas in 2014. Considering the fact that then, she has led global research teams all-around the world, in each educational and industrial settings. Previously this 12 months, she relocated to the US to oversee the company’s enlargement there.

This was the 1st time in three years that the Diversity in Tech Awards ceremony was held in person. This year’s party noticed entrants from all about the environment.
